WPS Principals EOY Message

Kia ora koutou parents / whanau

The final week is upon us and there is still so much to look forward to this week. Tonight at 5.00 p.m. is our Year 6 Graduation ceremony under the covered area - an opportunity for our students to dress up and enjoy this celebration evening with their parents, whanau and teachers. Then on Thursday morning   at 10.00 a.m. we have our final end of term “Remarkable Citizenship Assembly”, where we have an opportunity to celebrate many achievements and award winners. Finally, from 5.00 p.m. onwards on Thursday evening we have our End of Year Summer Concert / Picnic. Please bring along the food of your choice and (non-alcoholic) drinks, find a spot on our field and make yourselves comfortable to enjoy some wonderful entertainment from all of our children. The picnic begins from 5.00 p.m. and the performances start at 6.00 p.m. There will be shade sails strategically placed around the field, and we will be putting on a sausage sizzle for the children.  

This is a lovely way to finish off and celebrate what has been a particularly busy and successful year at Whangarei Primary School. I look forward to seeing you all on Thursday evening, and if you can’t make it, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support of our school, and wish you a Merry Christmas - please have a lovely, relaxing break with your children.
