An Update from our Principal - 25 Feb 2022

February 25, 2022

Kia ora koutou whanau / parents

You’ll be aware that  the Government announced that New Zealand would  move into Phase 3  for Omicron from 11:59pm last night.

In Phase 3, only household contacts of confirmed cases are required to self-isolate. The isolation period will be 10 days. All other contacts of COVID-positive people are not required to isolate, but they will need to monitor for symptoms. Rapid antigen tests will become the primary testing method.

So what does this mean for your children at school?

  • If we become aware of a positive case of Covid in your child's classroom, we will notify all parents / whanau via seesaw and email in that classroom.
  • Your child can still attend school, unless they are showing symptoms

Information we need from you:

  • Please inform us if your child has tested positive
  • Please inform us if a positive case is identified in your household and your child will stay home as a close contact.

Please contact the Senior Leadership Team if you have any queries.

Take care and look after yourselves and your whanau,

Nga mihi ra

Matua Danny
